I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T INSTALL LILO
OK so I've had a bad experience with LILO it wiped my Master Boot Record
(if you don't know what that is it tells your computer what to do when
booting from your hard disk (e.g. it tells your computer to read the Autoexec.bat
and Config.sys.) It's very easy to install but very hard to get rid of
you would be better off creating a boot disk but if you do decide to install
LILO and it all goes wrong help is at hand!
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT IF YOU'VE USED FIPS What's LILO?
Lilo make a text prompt appear when you switch your computer on, you can wet it up to load windows if you type windows or load Linux if you type Linux. Removing LILO from within DOS
If you have booted from a floppy you will need to type x:\ cd windows\command (x= your hard disk letter) if you booted from your Hard disk you shouldn't need to bother then type fdisk /mbr NOTE: this is a undocumented feature and if it buggers up your computer Microsoft accept no responsibility at all. If this doesn't work you'll have to put up with it or re-install Windows/MacOS/OS2. If after installing LILO Windows won't boot see When Windows won't boot
